What is it?
Favorite Authors is a library service available for Tarrant patrons whereby new releases of their favorite authors are automatically placed on hold for them as they become available.
What do I do?
You can pick up a form on your next visit to fill out at home, or you can give us a call. We'll need your name, library card number, the author(s) you're interested in, and whichever format you'd like to read them in (Regular Print, Large Print, Audiobook).
How does it work?
Every month, we check to see if the authors our patrons have requested have announced any upcoming releases. If they have, we add them to the holds list and an automated notification goes out to the patron when the materials are ready to be picked up.
I might be interested in this service, but the authors I read aren't listed. What can I do?
Just let us know. These are YOUR favorite authors. That means, you tell us who you'd like, and if they aren't already on our list, we'll add them.
Can I request the holds to be sent to another library?
Sorry. Not for this. You don't have to be a Tarrant resident to use this service; however, you do have to pick the Favorite Authors books up from the Tarrant library.
