NOTICE: Bids are currently being solicited by the Tarrant Electric Department (“TED”), for select bulbs over three years. Details of the bid are posted on the homepage of the city’s website: www.cityoftarrant.com. Sealed bids must be received in the City Clerk’s Office at Tarrant City Hall, 1133 East Lake Blvd, Tarrant, AL 35217 no later than the 17th day of September, 2021, at 10:00 a.m., at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Tarrant City Hall Council Chambers. Bids will not be accepted by email or facsimile. For further information and/or to obtain a copy of the bid package, please contact Willie Davis at Tarrant City Hall at 205-849-2800, ext. 1036 or by email at wdavis@cityoftarrant.com TED reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities and/or informalities in any bid, and to award a contract in any manner, consistent with law, deemed in the best interests of TED. A recommendation of award and a decision on the bids is expected at the City Council meeting scheduled for September 20, 2021, but TED reserves the right to make their decision at a different time if it deems that it is in the best interests of TED. The winning contractor will begin service immediately upon execution of the contract resulting from the award of the bid.
